100.9 KXOJ, Tulsa’s home of Christian music for over 3 decades, signed on a second radio station July 9th through it’s HD2 signal and a simulcast on 94.5FM in Tulsa. HD2 is the digital signal KXOJ gained with it’s recent upgrade in power and facilities. Radios capable of receiving digital signals can tune in the station right next to KXOJ HD at 100.9FM. For those without HD radios, the 94.5 FM signal can be heard over a good portion of the metro. The station is also streaming at kxoj2.com and will soon release a mobile app.
“KXOJ 2 is all about the next generation of Christian Hit Music”, says KXOJ and KXOJ2 Program Director Bob Thornton. “There are so many great artists who are blazing the trail with great pop, hip-hop and rock music, that we wanted to do all we could to share it with people. The artists of today- Family Force Five, Lecrae, TFK, Britt Nicole- they are like the Third Days and DC Talks were to Christian music listeners in years past. This is the future of Christian music.”
The station will have a “Grand Opening” of sorts in August and will work hand in hand with KXOJ on concerts and community efforts.
