Michael W. Smith Performs ‘Friends’ at Bush Memorial Service

Today Michael W. Smith had the special honor of performing his iconic song “Friends” at the funeral of George H. W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States.

“Michael is honored to have been asked to perform a song at President George H. W. Bush’s memorial service on Wednesday, December 5th in Washington D.C. Michael has been a long-time friend of the Bush Family with a particularly strong connection to our 41st President whom he met in the 1980’s,” his team posted yesterday. Michael also took to social media yesterday to share a video of the rehearsal.
